Linda Watson, author of the best-selling book Wildly Affordable Organic and co-creator of the Wildly Good Cook videos, will share how she turned an English degree and a sense of adventure into a career that let her write procedures, lead programmers, develop games, run a company, change the world, and cook up a storm. Find out how these experiences plus studying improv at Dirty South Comedy and makeup at the Bobbi Brown counter led to a collaboration with the Food and Nutrition Program at Meredith College.
Enjoy a Wildly Affordable Organic dinner, made as part of a project to encourage middle schoolers to choose more nutritious and appealing meals. Dinner features Harvest Lasagna and Cuban Black Beans on Rice tested by a team of Meredith College nutrition students. Learn how cafeteria cooks at the Mansfield Middle School in Storrs, Connecticut used these recipes to serve 300 students lunch on March 6th--and what the kids thought of these hearty, flavorful choices. See the new month-long menu that helps parents choose healthy, easy dinners from Wildly Affordable Organic which complement lunches served at school.
